Tuition Assistance

Vanguard strives to make each student’s education accessible and affordable through a combination of individual donations, grants, and corporate sponsorships. Currently enrolled families may apply for scholarships in January/February each year for the following school year.  All applications are kept in strict confidence.

FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment

We partner with a third-party program, FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment, to assist in determining a family’s ability to pay their student’s tuition. The availability of school funds is also a factor in tuition assistance decisions. Every effort is made to award some amount of tuition assistance to eligible candidates. Applications must be submitted annually with the required information for a family to be eligible for assistance each year. Please note that all financially responsible parties must submit financial information when one party is applying for tuition assistance.

Third Party Loans

Several third-party companies provide financing options for K–12 education expenses. Please note that Vanguard is not involved in the loan approval or repayment process and cannot advise on timing or requirements.

Vanguard does not endorse or recommend any specific lender but can direct families to resources. Families are encouraged to carefully review options and determine what works best for their circumstances.

Frequently Asked Questions About Tuition Assistance

Vanguard offers tuition assistance in the form of scholarships for currently enrolled students based on a family’s demonstrated need.  Scholarships are applied toward tuition for the upcoming school year and do not need to be repaid.

Tuition assistance award decisions are made each year in late February for the following school year. Students who are enrolled at that time can apply. We use FACTS Grant & Aid to collect all tuition assistance application information. This process takes place before re-enrollment for the next school year so that families are aware of the aid they will receive and the total tuition they will owe.

Scholarship decisions are made by FACTS, based on the demonstrated family need AND the amount of scholarship dollars available.  The typical scholarship ranges between $1,000-$10,000 with one FULL scholarship offered each year.

Yes, all financially responsible parties must submit the required financial information.

Examples of required information are personal and business tax returns, W-2s, 1099s, and recent pay stubs.

The deadline to apply for the 2025-2026 school year is February 16, 2026.

Because a family’s financial situation may change from year to year, all current tuition assistance recipients must reapply each year.
