Stephanie Kent – Teacher
Degree(s): Bachelor of Science in Theatre and Math from Northwestern University, Master of Education in Secondary Education from George Washington University, and Master of Fine Arts in Drama and Theatre for Youth and Communities from the University of Texas at Austin

Why Vanguard? Stephanie chose Vanguard because of the strength of the Vanguard community. When she visited last school year, she was struck by the love and respect that she saw and felt.

Jaclyn Robinson – Teacher
Degree(s): Child and Youth Worker Diploma from St Clair College, Sociology Degree from Acadia University, and Special Education Degree from University of Calgary
Why Vanguard? Jaclyn chose Vanguard because of the commitment to meeting each child’s individual needs through a supportive and safe learning environment. The school’s focus on the whole child aligns with her beliefs that meaningful learning happens when both emotional and behavioral needs are met.

Kaitlyn Armstrong - Student Support Staff

Why Vanguard? Kaitlyn chose Vanguard after being on campus as a student observer from her Dallas College teaching program. Her choice was driven by the positive environment and community she experienced at the school.

Desiree loves the mission of providing a school specialized for children who have different learning needs, where they are offered the same potential for graduation and work opportunities as those attending a “gen ed” school. She could see the passion and purpose from the staff after only a brief meeting.
