Tiesha Cortez is a Registered Behavior Technician with additional experience working as a live-in life skills mentor for at-risk youth. She is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Psychology. In her free time, Tiesha enjoys taking road trips and creating great memories with her dogs, Seven and Shaggy, as well as being in the company of family and friends.
Sabrina Galvan is a state licensed and certified middle school teacher. She has a Master’s degree in secondary education with an English specialization and is in her fourth year here at Vanguard. As our Middle School team lead, Sabrina is committed to providing a quality education to our students both therapeutically and academically.
Caleb graduated from Evangel University with a degree in Communications and Leadership. He has worked with children from various backgrounds, including teaching abroad in China. Prior to joining Vanguard, Caleb was a behavior technician in Los Angeles, working with at-risk youth and students with autism. He is passionate about meeting kids where they are out and building relationships. Caleb also aspires to be a published author one day.
Kiara graduated from Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Educational Psychology. Kiara fell in love with teaching while teaching English in Beijing, China. Upon her return to the states, she began working with diverse learners and is excited to be a part of the Vanguard family.
Lvette graduated from North Texas University in Denton with a Bachelor of Science in Development of Family Studies and has a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Studies from Amberton University. She has experience working in a Special Education setting, as well as an Inpatient Behavioral Health Hospital. When she is not working, Lvette enjoys hanging out with close friends and family, and traveling outside the country on various adventures.
Logan graduated from Florida State University in 2014 with a degree in Psychology. Since then, Logan has worked closely with children and teens affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder, both in and outside of the classroom setting. He joined the Vanguard team in 2020. Logan is passionate about addressing the educational needs of his students and helping each of them achieve success in the classroom. A fun fact about Logan is that he loves spicy foods!
