Vanguard strives to make a student’s education both accessible and affordable. The Vanguard Parent Association (VPA) raises money for scholarships year-round and through an annual gala. Families may apply for a scholarship in February each year for the following school year.
The VPA uses a third-party program, FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment, to assist in determining a family’s ability to pay their student’s tuition. The availability of school funds is also a factor in tuition assistance decisions. All applications are reviewed by the tuition assistance committee and kept in strict confidence. Every effort is made to award some amount of tuition assistance to eligible candidates. Applications must be submitted annually with the required information for a family to be eligible for assistance each year. Please note that all financially responsible parties must submit financial information when one party is applying for tuition assistance.

Yes, all financially responsible parties must submit the required financial information.
What information is required for the application?
Examples of required information are personal and business tax returns, W-2s, 1099s, and recent pay stubs.

Third Party Loans
There are several companies that provide loans for K-12 students. Many of our families utilize Your Tuition Solution.
Another option is Sallie Mae. Find Sallie Mae’s loan information here or download a Sallie Mae Informational PDF. Loan applicants must go through Sallie Mae’s loan approval process and not through Vanguard.
Once a loan is approved and funded, Vanguard will receive tuition from one of these sources and borrowers repay according to the agreed upon terms. We do not know the requirements as to timing.
