Tuition Assistance

Scholarships

Vanguard strives to make a student’s education both accessible and affordable through a combination of individual donations, grants, and corporate sponsorships.  Families may apply for a scholarship in February each year for the following school year.  All applications are kept in strict confidence.

We partner with a third-party program, FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment, to assist in determining a family’s ability to pay their student’s tuition.  The availability of school funds is also a factor in tuition assistance decisions. Every effort is made to award some amount of tuition assistance to eligible candidates.  Applications must be submitted annually with the required information for a family to be eligible for assistance each year. Please note that all financially responsible parties must submit financial information when one party is applying for tuition assistance.

Frequently Asked Questions About Scholarships

What is tuition assistance?

The Vanguard Parent Association (VPA) offers tuition assistance in the form of tuition grants based on a family’s demonstrated need.  A tuition grant is money applied toward tuition for the upcoming school year and does not need to be repaid.

How do I apply for tuition assistance?

The Vanguard Parent Association uses FACTS Grant & Aid to collect all tuition assistance application information. The application can be accessed once a family has completed online re-enrollment and established a FACTS tuition payment account.

If I am divorced or separated, do both parents need to submit financial information?

Yes, all financially responsible parties must submit the required financial information.

What information is required for the application?

Examples of required information are personal and business tax returns, W-2s, 1099s, and recent pay stubs.

What is the deadline to apply for tuition assistance?

The deadline to apply for the 2021-2022 school year is February 5, 2021.

Do I have to apply every year?

Because a family’s financial situation may change from year to year, all current tuition assistance recipients must reapply each year.

Third Party Loans

There are several companies that provide loans for K-12 students. Many of our families utilize Your Tuition Solution.

Once a loan is approved and funded, Vanguard will receive tuition from one of these sources and borrowers repay according to the agreed upon terms. We do not know the requirements as to timing.

These links are provided for information only. Vanguard does not endorse either of these sources.
