Charity Graham
Charity joined the Vanguard family in October 2016. After several years in the corporate world, she decided to go back to school for her first love, teaching. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Liberty University. Charity considers working with children to be a privilege and joy, and marvels at the magic that happens in the classroom every day.
Chris Cousins
Chris Cousins is a born and raised Dallas native. After graduating from the Greenhill School, just down the road from Vanguard, Chris went to Southern Methodist University. At SMU, he earned a Bachelor of Art degree in Art History.
Chris spent 10 years as a Special Education teacher in Richardson ISD and Dallas ISD. He worked with elementary and middle school children in all academic subjects, including two years in a self-contained autism class. This experience helped cement Chris’s desire to foster and expand the learning opportunities of all students.

Devin Warren
Devin Warren graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor’s in Social Work and a minor in Family Studies and Child Development. Devin loves working at Vanguard as the lead Pre-K and Kindergarten teacher and has over 15 years of experience working with this age group. She has a passion for working with children and strives to provide a safe, loving environment for the children in her class. When Devin is not teaching, she loves spending time with her four children and husband.

Gabrielle Grant
Gabrielle attended Texas State University in San Marcos where she majored in Political Science and minored in Diversity Studies. She is continuing her passion for education by pursuing her teaching certification. It gives Gabrielle immense joy to help others reach their academic and personal goals.

Michael Powers
Michael (Mikey) Powers has an undergraduate degree in Christian Studies with a minor in Spanish from Dallas Baptist University. He is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in professional counseling at the University of North Texas with emphasis in children and adolescents. Mikey joined Vanguard in 2017 as an after school program coordinator and resident coordinator for the 18+ transitional house. In 2018, he transitioned from the after school program to an elementary school teaching assistant. He finds great joy in working with the staff and students at Vanguard and in creating a positive, comfortable, and fun learning environment!

Tanya Goforth
Tanya has a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Development, a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, and has been in the field of education since 2006. She has experience as a Registered Behavior Technician, is a Reading Intervention Specialist, and has an Elementary Masters of Teaching certification.
