Admission Process to our Aledo Private School

Now Enrolling!

Welcome to Vanguard – When behavior speaks, we listen.

Every child deserves to be understood. We believe behavior is communication, and we respond with understanding.

Vanguard is a private therapeutic school dedicated to supporting students with Autism, ADHD, developmental differences, anxiety, mood disorders, and other diagnoses that impact social, emotional, or behavioral functioning. If your child experiences the world a little differently, Vanguard could be the place where they finally feel understood.

Our new lower school campus in Aledo, Texas is open and enrolling students from Kindergarten through 6th grade. We would love to meet your family and show you what makes our approach different.

Our Enrollment Process
Vanguard Preparatory School offers year-round enrollment based on availability. There is a two-step admissions process to Vanguard Prep in Aledo:

1. A parent tour and interview

We begin the Vanguard tour with a parent interview to help us understand your child’s educational journey and their academic and social-emotional needs. Families also have the opportunity to witness Vanguard in action by observing our teachers and support staff in the classrooms.

2. A two-day student visit to the school

The school visit offers prospective students the chance to participate in classes and engage with the Vanguard team. It’s a valuable opportunity for students to get to know our community and for us to better understand how we can support your child’s unique needs.

Prior to enrollment, we require the following documents:

  • a diagnostic evaluation completed within three years which includes relevant diagnoses as well as an assessment of cognition/intelligence and academic achievement
  • Report cards for elementary and middle school students
  • Official transcript for high school students
