VANGUARD + PLUS ACTIVITIES

Let’s discover if Vanguard is the school for your child.

Vanguard Plus is a slate of fun, creative, recreational and skill building activities offered in addition to our school program. Activities are held on campus from 3:15-4:15pm. one day a week.

LOWER SCHOOL

Kindness Kamp: Students work together to uplift the world through crafts and public service.

Iron Chef For Kids: Kids love to cook. We get beyond pizza and find where healthy, tasty and fun collide.

Kid Gymnastics: We transport students to the Farmers Branch activity center for lessons from a professional.

Crazy Science: Who doesn’t love an explosion? Or a magical transformation, or something GROSS!

We’re a TEAM: Students work together on collaborative projects, learning that everyone can win.

Minecraft For Thors: Supervised group interaction on Minecraft EDU. Students work together in this rich virtual world, building, exploring and surviving as a team.

Art From Around The World: Art Teacher Laura spans the globe in the mixed media explosion of creativity.

MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL

Minecraft For Loki’s: Supervised group interaction on Minecraft EDU. Students work together in this rich virtual world, building, exploring and surviving as a team.

The Kindness Project: We challenge our students to help the world through public service.

Basketball Camp: Indoor and outdoor training on basketball skills, Drill games and challenges (and some exercise too).

Painting With Acrylics: Students express themselves with supervised instruction in this vivid medium.

Magic, The Gathering: We reprise this popular club, a fantasy card game that has swept the world.

Archery: Supervised instruction and practice in this ancient sport. Equipment provided.

The Harry Potter Experience: Crafts, re-enactments and creative re-imagination of the Wizard’s World.

SCHOOL SOCIAL CLUBS

Students will engage in multi-cultural field trips (Concerts, Plays, Restaurants, etc.) practicing real-world social skills under staff supervision. Activities are scheduled throughout the semester, not necessarily after the school day, and may occur in the evening or on the weekend. All tickets, meals and transportation are included in the cost. Schedules will be provided to participants.
